The Music Center has been a private music school dedicated to the advancements of academic
success. We have grown to appreciate and greatly respect the impact of music education in dramatically
accelerating the brain development in our children.
Many scientific studies have published over the last 30 years in the United States and Europe verifying
the profound effects of music education on accelerated brain development and superior academic skills.

We invite you to enjoy the benefits of Piano, Guitar, Bass, Drums, and ALL other instrument lessons, in
a variety of different styles.  It is difficult to ignore the sound of music.
Music composed and performed by those who understand its aesthetic power can elevate our spirits,
urging us to respond by listening, playing, and singing. Get your sound blaster going, sit back and listen,
because through music, we grow to become better human beings. We are sure you'll enjoy it!

Learning to read music dramatically improves reading speed and comprehension facilitating long-term success for
your child's future.
In school we are taught to read one syllable at a time. Music teaches us to expand our visual field both horizontally and
vertically making it possible to absorb full sentences at a single glance.
Music is a spatial language unlike any of the other 5000 languages on earth. Symbols are differentiated by spatial
location rather than shape. This encourages the visual cortex of the brain to highly develop virtually unused areas of the
occipital cortex. The resulting increase in the density of the brain cell connections
lead to superior spatial reasoning
skills as well as dramatic improvements in visual eidetic memory
(otherwise known as "photographic memory").
Music is the only language that requires the simultaneous attention and activation of the visual, auditory, and motor
regions of the brain.
This requirement results in an increased density of connections in the association cortex which is
responsible for learning flexibility. Children who have a low density of connections between their sensory systems, have
difficulty processing information in school in one or more of these sensory systems.
When children receive new information, it must move from short-term memory to long-term memory in order to be
stored as knowledge. This conversion process from information to knowledge is accelerated by the use of the
language. When your child teaches you what he/she learned, linguistic centers in the frontal cortex of the brain structure,
organize and index that information for permamanent retrieval.
We are sure you will enjoy the benefits of musically educating your family.

The benefits of music lessons may turn up in more areas than just the recital hall.
A studies shows children who take music lessons have
better verbal memory skills than
others and may find it
easier to learn in school.

A new study suggests childhood music lessons may improve brain function and
combat the effects of aging on the brain.

Learning to play a musical instrument as a child may help keep the mind sharp
for years after the last note is played.
Researchers found older adults who took music lessons as a child performed better on
memory and brain function
tests than those who never learned how to read music or play
an instrument.
      The
benefits of childhood music lessons on brain function were still evident decades
later
even if they never played music again as adults. But the study suggests the longer the
participants
played an instrument, the bigger the benefits may be.
